The First Day of NFL Free Agency is a Frenzy
Chances are pretty high that your favorite NFL team made some moves yesterday during the first day of NFL free agency. Good teams, bad teams, high school teams (just kidding) all made moves yesterday. ESPN’s Adam Shefter was on live TV constantly checking his phone. Tweets were reporting trades and signings and hilarious stories. Chip Kelly is going berzerk in Philadelphia. And some big name players unexpectedly changed teams. Oh, and Patrick Willis officially retired.
I’m not going to recap the entire day because all you have to do is watch SportsCenter to know what went down. But I’ll tell you a little about what my Texans did. They re-signed Derek Newton and Kareem Jackson. They previously released Andre Johnson. They allowed LB Brooks Reed to become a free agent. They re-signed QB Ryan Mallet and are very close to signing QB Brian Hoyer. and ESPN is reporting that they are making an effort to sign Vince Wilfork.
Those are the more important moves of the day. I know of at least one more. But I know you’re sick of hearing about my teams, what about yours? What did your favorite team do on the first day of NFL free agency? One of you has to be from Philly. What do you think of all that?!
